Description
The novel coronavirus (COVID-19) global pandemic created an unprecedented disruption that required A/E firm leaders to manage the immediate and ongoing changes impacting clients, staff, and projects. This webinar is for firm leaders who want to ensure they are keeping an eye on the short- and long-term needs of their organization and are supporting positive outcomes today and as we progress to the “next normal.”
This two-part seminar will include discussions on your firm’s strategic and contractual needs with opportunities to ask questions and share your insights.
Part one of the webinar will focus on near and long-term strategic concerns:
- Project Profitability – managing impacts to your project profitability is as important as ever – do your project teams know this too?
- Has your client asked for a discount? – alternative approaches to discounts and lower rates.
- Strategic Clients – It is time to update your list of top-rated clients and all the rest. What do you need to keep in mind?
- Your social media policy – do your employees know what is appropriate when your firm’s name or a client’s project is part of their post?
- Potential liability exposures – what are the potential liability exposures you need to be thinking about?
Part two of the webinar will address contractual concerns:
- The need to conduct a comprehensive review of your contracts to evaluate any protections in the event projects are delayed or canceled
- Focus on key contractual protections that might provide relief from performing your obligations on time, like force majeure and changed conditions
- Overview of equitable principles that might excuse or delay performance
- Strategies to consider regardless of what your agreement says
