About our speakers: Jim honed his skills as a proposal manager working as an account executive for Accenture, winning major contracts against the likes of IBM, Deloitte, and Lockheed-Martin. Mel was the corporate proposal manager for RETEC, a national environmental services firm, where he guided their most important efforts—including a $130 million private-sector remediation outsourcing contract with that was at that time the largest in the U.S. Don has led over 1,000 strategic pursuits for some of the industry’s most notable international engineering firms, delivering an 80% win rate over the last 15 years producing over $10 billion in sales.
All three gentlemen now serve as consultants to the A/E industry, with a focus on business development, proposals, and marketing. Jim is the author of the book Win More Work: How to Write Winning A/E/C Proposals, published by ACEC. Don and Mel are coauthors of the ACEC-published book 33 Proven Secrets to Writing Successful Client-Centered Proposals.
