LDC 2-5: Managing Project Staffing Needs for Land Development Services
$25 Members | $50 Non-Members
Description
Large and small, projects need well-qualified people to complete a scope of work or services on schedule and on budget.
Small projects will usually suffice with an independent quality reviewer to help assure accuracy and completeness. Larger projects will generally require more of a team approach, typically including some combination of: project manager; a quality manager or reviewer; professionals from a variety of disciplines (usually identified as “task” leaders); technical staff; administrative and support staff; and in many cases sub-consultants.
Further, the principal-in-charge (pursuit champion or client manager) who led the business development effort will also work with the project manager to help ensure a smooth transition from the early “win the work” stage to client negotiations and contracting, right through to project delivery and contract compliance.
